Default BSP legal diff shenanigans

I'm in the midst of prepping my new open diff pumpkin (3.5 FD, soon to have Quaife power), and I figured that, while it was out and staring me in the face, I'd replace the bushings with awesomesauce BSP legal diff bushings.

Um... I can't find any. I see lots of poly bushings for the suspension, but only solid aluminum ones for the diff. I understand that polyurethane is not the
ideal material, but I can't seem to find any besides OEM or solid. I looked for polyurethane, delrin and hard rubber, but no dice.

Anyone know where I can get a set of non-metallic stiff bushings for the rear diff?

Side question:
It's illegal to put an anti-friction coating/shotpeening (eg Swain) on the ring and pinion in BSP, right? However, if possible, it would be legal to do so to the LSD, correct?

you don't, because none exist for the full set

the most problematic one is the rear mount bushing, in the subframe. There are no urethane ones made for that location

Whiteline has these for the mounting ears, which fit over the stock bushings

http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ng&prodid=4547

these are offered for the subframe (where subframe mounts to chassis)

Whiteline should have the rear diff bushings out within the next few months. I talked to them at SEMA, Paladin supplied them with a bushing shortly after, its in work. I also talked to them last month at the Willow Spring Time Attack.

That'd be even better... It may be several months before I have the stash to buy the Quaife anyway

For autocross and track, I recommend the OSG over the Quaiffe. I've run both and the OSG is better for competion use. And I can machine the rear subframe and diff mount bushings out of any kind of Nylon 6/6. I've done sets for E36 and E46 BMWs and a number of other cars.

I was wondering if anyone was gonna point that out before he bought the Quaife. Provided he isn't looking for a quiet solution over a higher performance one, I would think the OS.Giken might be another consideration.

What are the benefits of the OS Giken over the Quaife?

Both are good, OS Giken will likely be a little louder (clunk in low speed actions) but not that bad. Quaife, quiet but have performance issues under certain circumstances. It depends more on the app and your preference to NVH.
