Sorry for the lack of updates...not much going on, but it's getting to be crunch time so expect a bunch of updates the next few weeks.

Got the rear camber arm/traction arms in today. Clean up from the blown CV was a *****...

Been lacking motivation since early Jan, but started up again this week. Hoping to have the car rolling on track mid April. Still a ton to do, but it is back on the ground and actually cranked on first try with 4 month old E85. I'll try and get some updated pics tomorrow.

Done:
Fix Exhaust
Gut car
Replace all bushings with SPL Sphericals
Replace Front UCA, Rear traction and Camber arms with SPL
Oil Cooler
Repurpose front bumper/splitter from Autox car (Have a V3 painted, etc, but want to tweak it a bit more for more downforce)

Still to do:
Install IQ3 dash/datalogger
Install Rear Wing.....don't even get me started on this, but it still has not arrived from Kognition (18wks and counting).
Replace drivers side axle that exploded at the last event
Install Kirk Roll Bar/Harness
Set ride height, corner balance and align
Gut headlights
Get creative with the holesaw
Fill front shocks with nitrogen (a bit low)

If time permits:
Vent the hood and front fenders
Cut rear bumper/make diffuser

Assuming no calamities, I hope the car will turn some 1:20's with open track during the first event on scrub R6/7's.

Proof it is on the ground:

That's how I ended up with a Brooks Motorsports wing. Ordered Kognition, he promised and failed to deliver a wing like 6 times. Cancelled the order, bought a Brooks... Had it when he said I would. Zero regrets on that decision.

Yep...I'm pretty much over the excuses. If Brooks will make a wing for a 350z, I'll use it.

I'm sure Brooks would be happy to make something to fit a 350Z

If I don't have the wing, or at least shipping, by April 1....I'll be in touch.

Chris, is your wing chassis mounted?

It is not... Currently. With the front end changes I made before nationals last year I am using a lot more rear wing to balance it out. I'd like to chassis mount my wing and take a little AoA out. I've got 4 weeks before this season starts... maybe I'll get something sorted out.

Looking at the Brooks site, they seem pretty nice.

I'll get some interior shots next weekend. Should have the last little bits of the sound stuff and dash out, along with the roll bar/seat/dash in the car. The V3 front bumper should also be back from paint by then as well, but I plan to reuse the 03 bumper/autocross splitter for a few events.

Bad pics of the front/rear suspension and oil cooler set-up:

Update on the wing:

Kognition is a terrible company and I cannot possibly stress enough that you not give them a dime. I finally sent an ultimatum to get the wing sent on Friday or refund the money. Well they claimed the mounts were getting anondized and would be back on Monday. Against my better judgement, I obliged. Come Monday, 50 minutes prior to deadline time of 8pm, I get an email that a shipping label had been created. Great, right? Well, I sent a follow up this morning saying I still expect it en route today or again I would cancel/deny shipping as I wasn't interested any longer. An hour later I get an email saying he won't be threatened, blah blah and refunds my money. It pleases me greatly that I provided him a 0% loan for 4 1/2 months so he could play with watches. The set of stones this guy has for that level of ****ery and trying play the high road makes me want throw chairs out of my office window. I have no doubt that he never even started on the wing. 20 weeks of wait for nothing.

I've emailed Brooks and given them the go ahead on making a wing for the car. With this, everything has been pushed back a bit.

Cliff notes: Kognition is a crap company and stay away.

I've heard this exact story from a local guy.

Interested to see why you chose to go with the Kirk rollbar instead of getting a 4 point custom installed\welded in? Did you just have access to one and its that simple?

My car is finally getting back together after my off at Sebring almost a year ago now and I won't be doing anything on a track without at least a 4-point so I can use my Hans.
