I ran 4 or so events last year, but my car is currently being repaired due to a "mishap" @ laguna seca. Hopefully it'll be ready for the Feb 22 event, but I kinda doubt it.

I ran about 12 races last year. Waiting for my last mods, Koni shocks and new tires. Plan to complete by then but it will be close.
I am keeping my fingers crosssed. BS is loaded with excellent drivers. I will just measure improvement against the delta to the winner. I don't think I can get there it is mostly for fun and the adrenilen rush. Leading to road course long term. |

well, i'll be the last of the pack in either BS or SM2... it really doesnt matter for me... only out there for fun... i'm quite novice to solo2.... in total for the past 2 years i've gone 5 times: 3 times in my WRX, once with my 240sx, and then once w/ my Z... but i think this year i'm commited to go every time with the extra cash i have now...

Glad you had a good time.
The Z still isn't done yet, but hopefully it'll be ready in time for the next event. I think I'm signed up for the 6th for the Rev it Up, so hopefully I can do both (if the Z is ready). -D'oh! |

I have been delayed in getting new tires and shocks on availability. Tires just showed up so I should make the next one. Bstock. Still waiting for shocks plus my new wheels are late.

Just talked to the shop. They are cleaning some scuffs on the left rear wheel, but other than that my car is ready to go. I don't have it yet so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, but hopefully this means I will be able to go to the AutoX on Sunday and actually race.
Hope to see you all there. -D'oh! |

I am new to this site and any type of racing. I am thinking of taking my 04 touring to an autox at qualicom in San Diego. Would that be a good place to start? Is there anyone who has gone there and could mentor me some before I go??

ARGH! i got wasted last night drinking at my friend's house... i was
big hangover, so i couldnt make it to round 3 .... im such an idiot. *sigh* i have to wait another two weeks! ![]() PJ2, i started by riding in with some good drivers to get a feel of what it was like... but i think most importantly is just to go as often as you can, no one is a schumacher right out of the box. you can also have some more experienced drivers ride in with you. they will be able to give you pointers and show you your weaknesses. my weakness is that i dont use enough of the road, because i try too hard not to hit cones. As much as they say cone marks buff out... i still want to avoid taking them down. anyways, good luck and have fun!
