Ah...! Still jealous! Me in my oversize 1-car, bah!

Nice! I'm liking my Motordyne resonator and Greddy RS muffler. Obnoxious loud at part-throttle, but beautiful music at WOT.

You ought to pass sound, especially if I apparently did! *keeps fingers crossed*

I'm planning some things out for next season and figured I'd update this thread.

Last post was right before our big event up at Loring AFB. As some of you may have seen in my other thread, I was losing a lot of tire pressure in between runs.

Couple photos

And of course, the obligatory "You know what happened next" photo.

Here are some videos from that event. I kick myself watching these because I know I was sketched out with the tire issue and it was in my head and I wasn't driving well. Solostorm updated right before I left the house and didn't work all weekend.

Saturday, I got bested by my buddy by almost a second and finished 2/4 in class and 16/113 PAX. Sunday finished 3/6 in class and 12/116 PAX.

It made it through the weekend with 2 drivers each day and did well enough considering the issues. I also drove an ASP STi and a S/C FRS each day. Had a blast.

Our next event was back to a local small lot on 8/21. I placed 1/5 in class and 6/53 PAX. No video, but here is a good shot one of the guys got.

I then had the great idea to put 2 new RE71Rs on the front and the not so bad ones on the rear. Car was crazy loose at the next event on 9/4. Still lost pressure in the old tires, not the new ones...Managed to squeeze a good run out at the end of the day and finished 1/7 in class and 2/47 in PAX.

No vid, no photos..fail.

The last event was raining and poorly attended. I put my 255 Nitto Invos on the front and the new 275 RE71Rs on the back. Finished 2/3 in class and 17/45 in PAX.

Again no vid or pics.

I was kindof beat down after having tire issues and never really got the car back to where I was comfortable with it, hence the lack of video or photos. Solostorm was giving me issues and I just never used it again. The GoPro generally stayed in the glove box. haha. Super happy with the car this year though. Especially with the lack of rear diff and proper suspension.

I'm pretty sure I finished 2nd PAX for the year. Although, we won't find out until our banquet in a couple months.

I had purchased UpRev and was running a slightly modified tune after August. Once the season wound down, I decided to go ahead do some tuning.

Here is the graph from last time on the same dyno.

The only difference in parts was the addition of the loud single exhaust and the UpRev stock tune that was modified on the street. I'm pretty sure some calibrations changed and I didn't lose 10 whp/wtq from the exhaust. The previous baseline was also wicked rich and this time I had set it to 12.5 on the street, which should have picked up power in itself. But it is what it is and I picked up a bunch of power that day. The dyno is a dynocom and reads like a mustang.

Really wish I had done that sooner. Car pulls great on the street now.

Here are a couple videos. One with some music and a bunch of clips and one with just a few runs without.

And now the stock wheels are back on and it's got snows on it. It's going to be hard to not rip around the block a few times after the 1st snow storm, but it's mostly getting put away for winter.

I got all impulsive on Black Friday and bought some stuff. Most of it is things I "need", with one exception.

- HP+ Pads
- SS Brake lines and clutch line
- Z1 solid motor mounts. I may do poly instead. I think solid is SP legal. I'm just not sure I want to go that far.
- Z1 poly trans mount
- Kinetix Mani (Im still not sure why I did this, but I'm looking forward to it! haha)

Onto the plans for next year. I am planning a full season with the NH SCCA club in ESP.

Im 99% positive I'm going to find a way to put 4 wheels in the car and run R Comps next year. I may just have to pull the pass seat to load/unload and that doesn't see horrible. I'm 100% positive I need to do something about my suspension. So here's my plans.

- Coilovers. The only ones on my list are Proparts or True Choice. And I assume I'll want to at least be close to if not over 1k fronts. Planning to consult with them. I think PJ is running 1.5k ish?
- R Comps. Probably 295/30 A7s, unless I can find a better value that doesn't give up much grip. Ive got 4 10.5s, and I'd like to not have to purchase wheels this year. Maybe next year get some 11s and go up to 315s. I don't think the 295/30 will be too short, thoughts?
- Buy some blanks (I talked myself out of the 2 pc rotors..), install brakes, lines and mounts.
- Remove Android head unit and replace with removable Nexus 7. This is mostly to facilitate Solostorm and make it mobile, so I don't have to do it on the headunit or phone and hopefully be more reliable.

The maybe list:
- Diff. I know it should be higher on the list.. My inside wheel spin drives me nuts. I do feel like it's going to get better with the setup changes though.
- Make big air intake and do some more dyno testing. I do not plan to install the manifold during the off season. I want to do some more dyno tuning as it is, install the intake mani, do some more tuning, then make an air intake, etc. I have a big maf housing. Just need a TB, some piping and couplers.

Other than that, the car will be getting some stickers and mostly pulled from driver duties. I landed a sponsorship with Racers HQ that requires season-long vinyls, I'll be promoting my business permanently and it's going to get a little uncomfortable. So it makes sense. I'll still keep it inspected and registered and drive to/from events unless I can find someone with a truck that wants to haul me for some seat time.

As I'm sure everyone else is, I'm getting excited for the upcoming season. We had our annual awards banquet yesterday for the Cumberland Motor Club. Brought home some stuff.

The "-T" classes were a .98 modifier to non-street tire classes. Most of the club took advantage of it. The gap was big enough to the closest street tire class competitor behind me in standings that it wouldn't have mattered in final placing. There were no "ESP" competitors, couple guys in ESP-T.

My co-driver this year is a friend that finished in the #3 PAX position last year.

The prep plans have changed just a little bit. Along with already being sponsored by Racers HQ Magazine, Burns Stainless, LLC is giving me a heck of a deal on their 2 stage muffler to calm the beast for a sticker spot. And I also picked up a dealer account for Fortune Auto, so I will be running a set of their Dreadnought 2-ways.

Purchased a used Nexus 7 for the purpose of a mobile Solostorm device. I just need to buy a 2-channel Bluetooth amp for the front speakers and it should be a fairly clean removable setup to replace the current radio. I've got a JDM double din dash in the car now, but I think I'm just going to mount an ABS panel over the stock trim piece with no radio (its broken anyways).

Here is a pic of the setup. I'll use some Velcro or magnets to help secure it. The round thing is a wireless charger.

Revised To-Do list:
- Install Fortune Auto Dreadnought 2-ways (16/14k, OEM rear spring location)
- Install OS Giken rear diff
- Install HP+ Pads and SS lines, replace fluid
- Install Motor and Trans mounts
- Install Nexus 7
- Remove harness from old a/x car and install
- Install muffler
- Get 2 new 275 Bridgestone RE-71Rs installed (likely after diff "testing")
- Change fluids
- Take my neighbor up on his offer to use the church parking lot for testing.

Its going to be a busy year. I'm reaching out a littler further than the local club this year. I did a champ tour at Devens 2 years ago and it was a blast. The place where SCCNH typically runs is bigger and more open than most of the local lots I run on.

I'm running 2 Bstones that have 2 events on them from last year and I bought 2 new ones. We figure we will burn through these fairly quickly. I'm really tempted to jump to a 295 A7 on this 10.5 wheel. The other option is a wider Rival S and new wheels (18x11s). Or wider A7$. Whichever route we go, I'd love to do it by the Champ Tour. But I'd hate to make such a drastic setup change right before that.

The car is buried under our last storm. It's going to be work just to get into the shop. haha

I picked up some 7 run 315 A7s. I've got 2 options for wheel/tire packages and I need some input.

I currently own (4) 18x10.5 and (2) 18x9.5 Miros. And I've got a set of 315/30r18 A7s and a set of 275/35r18 RE-71r. I plan to use the A7s at the NH and NER events and the RE71rs locally.

I was originally thinking that I'd run the 315s on the 10.5s and get two more 9.5s. But a set of 18x11 XXRs are only $50 more than 2 matching 18x9.5s. I think the 275s are better on my current 10.5s.

Is the heavier and wider 18x11 worth it on the A7s? Are the 275s going to be too pinched on the 9.5s?

If this is to be believed, according to Bridgestone a 275 on a 9.5" wheel is fine. The 275/35/18 RE71R is good from 9"-11" wide wheels.

How much heavier is the 11 over the alternative?

I'm running 275s on my stock sized 9" & 10" wide wheels. There is a slight pinch on the 9" wheels and a slight stretch on the 10" wheels.

Either of the combinations will work. I'm currently running 315/30/18's on 10.5 with no issues but a wider wheel would be better. Although i can't tell you if it a light 10.5 would be better than a heavy 11.0.

275's work fine on a 9.5.

Thanks for the input guys. I bought a set of XXRs a couple days ago.

The tires appear to be in great shape.

I'm excited, but slightly concerned about going back and forth from the Bstones to the Hoosiers. We are starting out with 16/14k rates (896/784), with a large front sway bar and planning no rear bar. I'll probably go ahead and get some heavier springs for the front. Car will be driven to events for now, but not really driven otherwise. Going to be a challenge to pack the car. haha

Could always invest in a hidden hitch and a tire trailer!

Finally getting the car somewhat dialed in. Still on the Bstones.

SCCNH #1 - 1st and 3rd in class of 16 (combined SP and SM class)
CMC #1 - 1st in class of 3 and 2nd raw and pax.
SCCNH #2 - 1st and 2nd in class of 10? (combined SP and SM class)

Co driver would have had fastest fender on his last if it wasn't dirty.

Car feels great and we can't wait to get it on some larger courses this season. Once I figure out a hauling solution, we are switching to the Hoosiers. Rear wheel bearing needs replacing. I've got 4 new Timkens, thinking about putting the studs in the new ones for the spacers up front. Some Ferrodos are replacing the Hawk pads. And I may be installing the Kinetix mani soon and putting it on the dyno again.

Video from the champ tour. My codriver Ben was ahead .9 going into Sunday. Both of us had issues getting clean on our fast runs on Sunday and finished 3rd and 4th in ESP behind PJ and Brian.

Here is a video from last Sunday at Loring Air Force Base with the Cumberland Motor Club. LOVE that place.

G placed 2nd and 3rd in PAX on Saturday and 1st, 3rd and 4th on Sunday. Corded 3 of the A7s on Sunday and called it with 3 runs left a piece. ;(
