+1; this is something i had to learn the hard way at my first track event when my wheels started to come off while out on track. Nobody had EVER mentioned it to me before and something i hadn't even considered.
I'm glad this came up btw. I have aftermarket wheels (if that makes a difference) and after my second session there were a half dozen lugs that needed a quarter turn to get back to torque spec. Thanks!!
Don't do that if you are coming right off track or it hasn't had sufficient time to cool down. You will stretch the studs if you tighten them while the car is hot.
