Grid Life South @ Road Atlanta Aug 27/28
It just dawned on me that it's next weekend!
http://www.grid.life/
Anyone else planning on driving, drifting, competing, etc? I'll be there in my Z running the time attack in HPDE+ class (omg I could win HPDE! ) This will be the first true track event for the Z. Though I've ran this track many of times it will be an adjustment over the miata. Wish me luck!

Yeah, I went off in T4 on the last session on Friday.
Good thing is, I'm uninjured!
No one's fault but my own. I ran out of rear tire and ultimately I ran out of talent. By the time I knew what the rear was doing, it was too late. As soon as I made my correction I knew I was going into the wall.
Life goes on! On the up-side I managed to come 2nd in class even though I only ran 3 sessions on Friday and my fastest time was in the hottest session

I was paddocked not too far from you. I was in the stock looking black 350z running instructor / Advanced. I was next to the PTuning tent. Sorry to see about the car. Glad to see you are okay.
I had a blast. I'm not used to that heat & humidity down there.

Sunday the Element Tuning FRS popped its motor. Same session, I believe a white Z lost its motor, too, but was trailing oil down from T11 down into T12. I'm hearing this on the announcements, walking down into the paddock by T1 and a Vette does a neat 180 into the tire wall (minor impact, it looked like). Fast Forward and a Evo 8/9 is being trailered off the track, seems he hit the oil going into T11 and simply slid into the bridge on the passenger side.
Nothing like this in the HPDE groups, though!

Thanks for the kind words fellas, I appreciate it.
No plans to rebuild the car, frame is twisted. Definitely won't stop racing, the Z was actually my street car, my track car is this miata:
Decided to run the Z at this event, figured it'd be fun. Which, it was a blast until I hit the wall . Current plan is to part it out and recoup some losses. I should be able to tear into it in a few weeks.
