Lightbulb DIY: Replacing Headlight Bulbs (Non-HID)

Here are some instructions I wrote for everyone who has been wondering about going the bargain route: Superwhite bulbs and not upgrading to HID's.
All you need is a flat head screwdriver (for removing body clips) and something to remove your wheels (torque wrench w/ 21mm).

1. Remove your front wheels and three wheel-well liner clips on each side, then peel back the wheel-well lining as shown in the first picture.

2. Remove the white cap (twist counter clock-wise) and pull the black wire harness and release the bulb spring clip as shown in the second picture. To release the bulb clip, just push it towards the front of the car and up.

3. Remove the bulb and replace (3rd picture). Make sure the flat edge is facing up (fourth picture).

4. When you put the bulb spring clip back, make sure it actually holds the bulb in place. Don't let the spring clip droop (gravity) or your bulb will sit in place loosely.

5. It's a good idea to check your headlights and make sure they turn on before putting your wheels back on.
