I too had a horrible rattle in the rear of my car. I attempted this fix but it didn't seem to help. So, I went crazy and started pulling panels out. Turns out that one of the metal clips on the hatch part had broken free and was creating the annoying noise. I just removed it and now have been rattle free. Hope that helps someone.

Sorry, I haven't checked this in awhile. It is on the actual hatch. I took off the plastic piece that has the wiper motor in it. One of the metal clips had broken off somehow, once I removed I then had no problems. If none of yours are broken you could try to put electrical tape over the metal tabs to see if that helps any.

It's not the motor I was just using that to describe what plastic trim piece it was. But there are metal clips on the plastic trim piece that hold it up. I don have any pictures of it but I can take a picture of it and guesstimate as to where the the broken tab was? Don't feel like pulling it off again.

rattle
Hellp to all, i know this is an ooolllddd thread but i just recently got my hands on an 07 hr grand touring model and i have this rattle issue in the hatch area. I also had one on the dash but i fixed that one already. It was a sensor if anyone has rattles on dash i can help. But i need help with this one. You stated to unloosen the two 12 mm bolts and move it towards the front of the car.... but looking at the picture its hard to pin point which way you mean as the front. Do you pull or does is slide the 1/8 u said it should give? I appreciate any info
