After the above, the only other thing that could prop up the hatch is the spring-loaded/bumpers that are on the stock hatch that help it to jump up when you hit the hatch release. I actually don't use them for my Mastergrade hatch as they force it upwards too much. I don't use them at all.

iirc the oem hatch with glass and all is 189 lbs....CF hatch's are usually around 15 lb....glass is about 40 more or so.

FYI to others, the stock shocks can crack your CF. I learned the hard way and it sux a$$

Bumping old thread my bad but what do people use for struts on their carbon fiber hatch? I dont really want to crack my hatch but I dont want to hold it up with my head either.
