have you decided on a location for that switch yet? I was looking at my z the other day and was trying to figure out where i would want to run it.. maybe into the din or center counsel?..

stupid question but do the silicone (RTV) goes on after you reassemble and place back in the oven or does it suppose to go between the lens and housing then the headlights go back in the oven. if anyone know then please NOTE.
and does it goes around the whole headlight or just some parts?
thanks

I finally got these lights wired and installed today, and WOW what a difference!!! not to sound too cliche', but it's like day and night! I wired them to a toggle switch on the dash. there are 2 blank switch panels above the gas door button that I put the toggle in.

When I seal them back up I heat the housing (either oven, or heat gun) and press the lens tight, install the few screws, reheat squeeze tighter a few times then seal with silicone all the way around.

also heres a pic I snapped really quick of the demon eyes on. You can see this was successful, I think it turned out awesome!

sub'd for later. I think a case of beer is a fair price too, for the people unwilling to do it themselves!

I added some shrink wrap, but I dont think it makes a difference. The wires are routed pretty far from the headlight bulb. So far no issues at all, The LED's work perfect, and people love how it looks. One thing though, it has to be dark to see the red. Dusk just wont cut it.... Unless you maybe wire more into the light. Good luck on yours, and please post your pics on this post along with your experience!

No problem, I hope someone else does this mod and posts their results. Its been a few weeks and mine still work well, no dead wires or LEDs yet.

Take care in Afghan brother, I just got back from deployment in October. No greater feeling than stepping back onto US soil.

you should've used 1 pack for each h/l (3 led's per projector). that would've made it super bright.

i wired my leds to my dome lights. which supposedly shuts off after 15 minutes. but for some darn reasons my dome and led and my visors lights wouldnt come on after 2 flapping days. cant seem to find what fuse i burnt. checked it 3 times and no burnt fuse. also did the reset ecu to see if it work and no luck. i gueess i gotta find time to see if i shorted something. guess i shoulda just connected to a switch. but it was so much more pratical to have it automatically shuts off 15 after the car is off.

I have my lights done this way too, but have not hooked up my demon eye yet, need to hook up the switch...

Mine are 08's, painted black, with R8 LED mods, halo and demon eye, not yet switched up...
