Just out of curiosity, and no pun intended of course:
How does the AC module attach to this?
And does it come on 2X2 twill?!?!?!? (I would be all over it, providing question 1).

It is a straight replacement, not a cover.
It is a 1x1 weave

Straight replacement just as if you were to remove the shift boot from the factory piece and reattach it.

I've seen people modify them but it is Carbon so I don't know if I would do that myself.
It's only guaranteed fitment and tested on 03-05.
