FS: GaugeCraft Custom Pre-Made 350z Gauges: Just Plug-n-Play

Hey Resmarted,
I see no problem with that. The guy who makes the gauge-faces is named Al. He owns http://www.blackcatcustom.com/ and I'm sure he can make what you asked for. Then I can place any color LED lights and needles you might want.

hey e30cabrio,
That gauge set is the Classic Acree Blue named after the guy who started it all and it's $600.00 for the main cluster & the center cluster. I have one like that ready but, the red-line is not correct for your Z. I can order that 7500 red-line gauge-face for you. No problem.

That's right bro... Did you see that I have the shift lights on the RPM needle(s) now? Also, I can change the name on the blue cluster if it makes you "eek"... I thought you might smile when you saw that.

Hey taywan,
Thank you very much sir. Here's a nice little center cluster I was working on today. This one I put two blue PLCC-2 SMT LEDs in each spot where only one goes. It about drove me mad last night soldering this. However, now that it's done... it looks good. This is a Blue Metal-Flake gauge-face. I will take some more pictures tonight after the sun goes down...

Hey e30cabrio,
Thank you. The cost for the center cluster plus the main gauge cluster would be $500.00. Then after you install, I give you back $100.00 if you want to sell your stock gauges. I just took a few more pictures after dark of the blue metal-flake cluster. It's a bit too bright for my crappy camera... Oh yea... the pink ring around the RMP gauge is the camera's doing...

Hey Ronin82,
That's right. Let me break that down for you: I first buy a used Nissan 350z OEM main gauge cluster on ebay motors. The price range is from $75.00 to $325.00. For $75 you get a BASE with automatic and I bet the clear plastic cover is all scratched-up. most of the salvage guys selling this stuff couldn't tell a Base from a Track in a hailstorm. EVERY TIME I buy a a used cluster it is a gamble just like Forest Gump's "Mama always said life was like a box a chocolates, never know what you're gonna get" and that how it is. I have found that if I spend $150 to $250 I MIGHT get a good one with TCS and Cruise Control. I have a client right now needing the Tire Pressure Sensor page in the center cluster but, controlled by the software in the main cluster.
Next I must buy a 350z center gauge cluster. Those center clusters range from $75.00 to $200.00 on ebay motors. Again you get what you pay for.
If the client wants CLEAR-NEEDLES so they can have a different color than RED, then I must buy TWO MORE NON 350z CLUSTERS. Why two? Because the 350z has six needles and the NON 350z clusters I steal the needles from have only four needles. The NON 350z cluster are from $60 to $100 each.
A set of custom gauge-faces from BlackCat Custom range from $109.00 to $140.00 (add about $20.00 a pop for shipping) for something special like the Blue Metal-Flake gauge I posted tonight.
To change the mileage on the main gauge cluster to match my client's 350z mileage takes a hand-held device called the USA PROG http://www.dhgate.com/wholesale/usa+prog.html that cost me $1500.00. Plus I spent two months and quite a bit of money trying to get three different Tacho Pros http://www.diagobdii.com/universal-d...lock-p-16.html to change the Nisan EPROM mileage before I stepped-up to the USA PROG.
Next we have the time it takes to solder about 30 PLCC-2 SMT LEDs. The cost is not much for a PLCC-2 SMT LED but, the time it takes to covert a set of gauge clusters is ALL DAY LONG... I don't care how good anyone might think they are working with tiny electronics, it takes many hours to complete a set of gauges. And if I make the very flipping-cool color-changing shift-light-needle, well that's another four to six hours. What is an hour of time worth these days?
My website is: http://www.gaugecraft.com/ and you people can always PM me here.
Remember I always offer to buy back your gauges for $100.00 making your question : "500-600.00 bucks !! ?????" really "400-500.00 bucks !! ????? and my answer is hell yea... and that's the great thing about America, if it is too costly for you... you don't have to buy it. If I had seen the custom gauge clusters before I learn to do this, I would of bought one in a heartbeat!

block8head gets his gauges!
hey block8head,
Well sir, your Silver 2003-2005 BackCat Custom Gauge-Face arrived yesterday. After spending the day with your new custom 350z main-cluster I went ahead and added a red LED under the RMP needle and she looks cool as a jewel. Tomorrow I'll make you a shopping cart and email you the link. After you order, I'll change the mileage on this cluster to match your 350z mileage. Below is your new custom gauge. I added pictures of your center gauge cluster. Check it out:

you do some awesome work Bob! I will be looking forward to ordering a set of these from you when I return home. Im thinking a set like the ones you posted ^ but with a Z as well. I would like to do the center dash too? Funny question but I figured I would ask anyways, is there a way for you to possibly put my cars name on the face plate in place of the Z lol. Its simple.... GIR (Invader Zim) Thanks Bob!
