Seems I remember reading about these braces back in my honda days, and at least on those cars, it seemed as if they were not recommending these on daily driven street cars due to removing crumple zones in the incident of a crash. Maybe things are different with the Z, or maybe you've taken this into account, but just a thought.
to answer another question, the fact is this altered the effects of areas meant to crumple in a crash that were not sufficiently braced from the mfgr. and therefore most cars could use extra bracing in this direction.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Intense on ordering these. I ordered the 4-pt underbrace back in Oct but is on backorder. I'm hoping GTSpec can drop-ship the 4-pt w/ these fender brace when available.
Oh SinCity, my wife says thank you for helping me spend more money on my car. LOL

Where would be the best place to find these right now and not have to wait? Also +1 on the aftermarket fenders. I have a set of Sarona vented fenders and dont know about fitment with these braces. Any info would help, thanks!

none have been tested on any aftermarket fenders that we know of, so it will be trial and error there

Unless I am a complete retard, I can confirm that these do NOT fit on a 2005 USDM G35 coupe. The door brackets are further apart than on the Z, which means the holes do NOT line up.
Again, these do NOT fit on a 2005 G35 coupe.

hey guys. so i want to make this brace for my mazda 6 as well, except i have no experience with welding aluminum. do you think stainless steel would be okay too, or would is it more flexible than aluminum? I can weld steel easy, i just don't have the proper welder for aluminum. what you think? does that work? i've heard somewhere that steel braces are not as good as aluminum ones, but i don't know why. other than weight savings, i can't think of another reason.

^^ Cool, who better to buy them from than the people who had them first, test fit & tested them first, and made the first thread/write up on them? ...............
Yes we are proud to be the first to sell, install, and test these new GT Spec fender braces (along with a lot of other GT Spec parts) LOL
Feel free to PM me.
