I bent my ball joint press doing mine. I did all of the bushings on my front suspension the same day and just took the whole thing apart and used a hydraulic press. I held my spindles in a vise and blasted the ball joints out with my air hammer. I don't recommend this technique.

Good thing they sell replacement boots. I just replaced it. I think it was my fault though for letting the lower control arm hang removing my struts. Probably pinched the boot and made a cut on it.

Out of curiosity, did you check that castle nut for proper fitment (not implying anything)? the CZP bj's I got, the castle nut fell half way into the Translink arm hole. I reused the factory nut that has the flair/hat on it.

Guys I know I'm dragging up an old thread but this was the top hit on google.

I'm trying to remove the rear upper arm balljoint on my 05 350z

I see this whole thread is for the front balljoint, but is the rear the same?
