Default Rotor paint...

i painted my rotors with 3 coats of primer, and im planning on putting another 3 coats of paint.. but the paint says it takes seven days to fully cure. its high temp engine paint.

my issue is i want to throw the rotors on and i dont want to wait 7 days to put a clear coat on. should i wait? or will i be good?

I remember back in my Honda days, many years ago, I painted my calipers and drums red. I was anxious to show them off when I finished and drove on them prematurely. I was left with red paint splatter inside of my rear wheel barrels. Just saying.

Got pics? Why not just grab some nice drill slotted ones and not touch them?

I used exhaust system paint on my 300ZX. I let it dry for 5 mins. It's been two years and there's no sign of rust.

just fyi for next time...this process does a great job and doesnt require days of waiting...

also, you can use the rust converter stuff in the holes and slots of the rotors you bought...as i can see they are rusted big time....the hats look good..i hope the paint holds up..it should.

see post 5 here:
