Default OEM brembo calipers painted or powder coated from factory?

I just got a set of used brembo calipers that had 80k miles. As with all the used brembos, it's got the usual chips and scratches. Was the OEM finish a paint or powder coat? I'm debating on whether to just install them or have them rebuilt and powder coated. If the stock finish is a powder coat and they seem to get pretty beat up from daily driving, I might not bother spending the $500 to rebuild /powder coat. But if it's just paint from the factory and powder coat will stay looking new for years, it would be worth the cash, especially to be able to match them to the car color.

Powder coat, as long as you're not tracking your car on a regular basis it'll hold up just fine, i had mine powdercoated and rebuilt and they look brand new!

Where did you have them done, and what was the cost?

I media blasted mine and then used bbq paint on them for about $50. It looks good, I dont have to worry about heat on the track, and its been holding up pretty well so far.

Just got mine back from the powdercoat shop - $330 out-the-door for a two-layer job, with the logos embedded under the clearcoat, and bead-blasting was included:

Obviously, I like the OEM-look.
