Shaving/trimming Akebono Calipers
Akebono Brake Calipers -
I would like to know if any member on here has experience of trimming or shaving their calipers to make a clearance for their rim OR knows how deep the material is in the area marked in the photo. Is there anything vital and how deep is the material there?
*disclaimer: I know this could be easily solved with different rims.

+1 however, that is actually a very vital portion of the caliper. Definitely make sure you know what's inside (simply by taking that caliper apart, it's vary easy any you won't hurt anything)

Hey bud, I may have to do this tomorrow to make the brakes fit with the same wheels.
Was it necessary to grind that whole face? How much did you take off? Thanks a ton, can't drive it until i resolve this!
