BRAKES ABS light on, OLD PROBLEM NEW TWIST Advice needed
Yes, I researched the **** out of this before dropping the $179 on sensor-
OK-Cliffnotes Base model 05; no TPMS aftermarket 18x9.5"; tests, intake, crawford plenum; none of this has caused issues other than than the (!) for no TPMS---read someone felt their aftermarket head unit was culprit which makes little sense to me but I am intrigued bc only other mod is this double din.
However, in MN its cold(it gets stored), and for past 3 seasons ABS would pulse anytime below 50* and at low 20 or less MPH (like a pedal bite) and tach/speedo would act possessed.
Now today replaced rear ABS/Wheel speed and alas no pulsing but the ABS and brake light come on after open loop-meanwhile the tach/speedo doesnt work until these lights come on and then everything works fine (no noise or pedal bite).
So, I am fkn trumped here. Opinions welcome-Thx in advance for your time

doubt it is just related to the ABS sensor... assume you checked the ohms on the sensor? checked on all of them? I would guess this is a wiring issue somewhere that may or may not be caused by the ABS sensor. it may be a wheel bearing. may be corrosion/moisture on the sensor(s) or their connections. are your brakes in need of replacing?

Tach/speedo kinda makes me think BCM. Just speedo would make me lean to a wheel speed sensor.

Tach and speedo don't go through the BCM. However, tach, speedo, and the ABS and BRAKE warning light signals DO all go through the Unified Meter and AC Amp. This box sits just behind the heat and AC *****, and has to be removed and reinstalled when a new head unit is installed. I could be a bent or broken pin or pins on the connector. This seems to be the only common interface for al your symptoms

I have heard this before w people installing and reinstalling, now for many reasons my dash has been apart about 20x's So it COULD very well be...Whats the fix here? I know youre referring to the ribbon and inlet plugs...you think both or one or the other possibly?
