Vue-Equinox electric steering column?
I have been toying with this idea since before i bought my z 10 months ago. I know that the 240/280 guys have a custom kit available for their cars.

Origionally i was thinking about using the mr2 electric power steering pump, but then thought what was the point if i am really not cleaning up the engine bay by adding a larger pump and moving the resevoir.
Going with the vue column won't drop much weight, maybe 10-15 lbs; transfering some of the weight further toward the rear. To me not having to worry about keeping the hydraulic ps system cool, upgrading hoses and parasitic hp loss.
I have been looking through the forum for some time now and can't seem to find any discussion on pursuing this.
What is everyones thoughts ?
If i can stay on track i am hoping to obtain my lower vue column by the summer. The one major concern i have with doing this mod is the ps pressure switch. The eps needs a source wire for the ecu, i was concidering seeing if i could modify the ps switch signal to run the vue eps.

I forgot to post a link to the variable sensativity controller i found on ebay to adjust the heaviness of the steering.
