Rack and pinion need replacement...need help please
Hey gang,
My rack and pinion is leaking badly with power steering fluid close to the minimum level.....so....I'm going to have it replaced. I'm an 04' coupe around 85k.
Needing help in finding who is best to buy from and what all do I need to order? I see urethane bushings available for rack and pinions? No clue what that even is as I don't know the A to Z of the Z's techno wonderment.
Mechanic said a rack and pinion replacement will run me about $300 for the new part, but so far in my admittedly limited research I've only seen rebuilt rack and pinions on eBay for $249...is that a bad idea? Best place to buy new from? I'd much prefer new for the best price of course.
