Default K-Sport Big Brake Kits

Does anyone have any feedback on the quality of the KSport Big Brake KIts? I purchased the ones below because I felt they looked great. I don't use my car for the track but would still like some quality breaks.
  • FRONT: KSport® BKNS260-841CBL - ProComp Cross Drilled Front Brake Kit (356mm (14"), 8 Piston, Cross Drilled, Standard Rotors, Street Pads, Blue)
  • REAR: KSport® BKNS260-443CBL - ProComp Cross Drilled Rear Brake Kit (356mm (14"), 4 Piston, Cross Drilled, Standard Rotors, Street Pads, Blue)

Thanks,

ZeeMania

Only thing I could really find. When you get it be sure to write a review and let us know if they live up to the article.

Of course be prepared for the "name brand" crowd as they prefer to drink Fiji water over supermarket brand lol

Ummm, no, any train wrecks forthcoming will NOT be the result of name brand BBK preference.

It will be due to the incorrect spelling of "breaks".

Do you really need some ridiculously oversized 8-piston and 4-piston calipers? $4K+ seems like it might buy a lot of other useful parts, and a nice Brembo or Akebono kit would be less than 1/2 that price.

The displacement of all those pistons may, or may not, be an issue with the stock master cylinder. Something to consider. What about fitment with the wheels you're using? Also, look into the cost/availability of rebuild kits and pads. Rotors, too, are replacement parts you'll need sometime in the future.

I never understood why people never answer the question the OP has but instead go off on tangents lol

Yeah, you're right. It doesn't sound like the OP has much of a clue (no offense to him) and NONE of those things I mentioned should be considered when buying ANY big "break" kit.

Feedback, well they will stop your car

They have no pad selection, just 2 pads from K-Sport.

Replacement part availability, I would check with K-sport. I know I can get anything and everything from Wilwood
Quality, well K-Sport is known for selling crappy coilovers. I wonder if their brakes are any better

Thanks everyone, truth is I don't plan on racing the car, so it really is a decision for looks for now, but I am hoping this investment would definitely help increase the quality of the brakes from stocks.

The wheels are aftermarket Vellano 20" wheels, and I also just purchased an ARK Performance® - GRiP Exhaust System with Burnt Tip Nissan 350Z Z33 2006, GRiP Exhaust System with Burnt Tip by ARK Performance®. 4" Slip Tip. Tube Diameter: 2.5". Exhaust System Design: True Dual.

I might invest on the engine next, but I am undecided...

^^^ Too true. Or as they say, "A car is a bottomless hole into which money is poured."

Its a good point Tarvlee. Actually, this is just a hobby for me that I enjoy. I don't want to throw too much money away, but I do want a decent looking car with some credible modifications.

It's true, I don't know much about how to purchase the right parts, hence the reason why I posted. Anyone who has a Z with Ksport Big Brake Kits, I'm interested in hearing about the quality and look.

These are cheaper, track proven and parts are readily available. Why would you pick Ksport taiwanese garbage over this. Alternatively, You can also choose OEM Brembos, Akebono, or a set of used APRacing for less than that ksport kit.

KushZen, that is a great point. Where did you get those? I paid $4,426 for the whole set because I thought KSport Brakes are good quality, but I am doubting the purchase now that I received feedback.

Anyone, what other brakes can I purchase with $4,426 that are great quality, and look great?

Appreciate the guidance
