Default Heat stress or nah

I bought a used set up from a forum members. He says these rotor are 2 months old. And the cracks are only heat stress. He also stated that the cracks are going to go away as I street drive.
I do not track nor auto cross. My car is my DD for street driving with occasional spirited driving. I attached pictures of the rotors. Is any of what he said is true? I looked through a lot of forums and there seems to be mixed feelings. So 350z gods, are these rotors good for street driving?

To my knowledge, those heat cracks will not go away.

That is a lot of wear for 2 months. Was he racing a lot in those 2 months? The wear also looks very uneven. Closer to the hub looks much more worn.

My guess will be that you will experience a good amount of vibration.

Once its crack, its done. Probably why he sold it. Vibration will be bad.

Personally, i wouldnt use these, but people on tight budget might.

Demand a full refund. "This item is not as describe"

To my knowledge and base on simple physic, once an item cracks, there is no way to "uncrack" it. It is consider broken and will need repairs.

Edit: whos the seller? Hopefully wasnt someone with 50 post counts...

Surface crack do to high heat of the track, anyone who has taken a car to the track and knows how to drive fast will have rotors that look like that. Perfectly fine to run in the street, but I would have just bought blanks from autozone for $100 or so.

Thanks for all the replies. I bought it from etkms. He said they were used for track for those who asked. So is the consensus to toss them out and get blanks?

Idk, thats A LOT of cracks. And its not even drilled rotors. I have see small crack like that develope on drilled rotors and evoled into bigger cracks.

Personally, i wouldnt run it. But then again, you have more experience so im not gonna arguem if you say its good, it must be. But i would keep an eye out to make sure the cracks dont evolve into something more serious.

Just surface and that's what it looks like, with repeated track use the cracks could turn into a full crack and need replacement.

Couple different rules, will the crack easily catch a finger nail and does the crack go to the edge and can you see it's cracked thru

Make sense. As always haha. Idk, i just feel rotors are pretty cheap to be buying used online. Unless theyre like 2 piece for a fraction of the price in mint condition

Agree, if they were $50 for all 4 , local pickup so no shipping required, it would be worth it.
