Default 2005 Steering Knuckle replacement help *with pics*

Hello I have a 2005 35th Ann Z and recently replaced the steering knuckle. Where the old original knuckle had a plastic seat, it doesn't appear that the new one does. It slides far further and seems to have more play. Do I need to transfer the plastic seat? Is this normal? Thanks for any help!

The replacement part I have is 40015AL55J

The picture on the left installed is the new knuckle. See how high I can screw the bolt down?

The second is the old knuckle with a plastic seat.

Only you can verify if the new knuckle has the cone seat for the lower ball joint. But yes, you need that seat for proper installation. Transfer it over if you dont have one on the new knuckle.

Thanks cj. I just didn't know if there was a new design? Any idea how to get that cone off? Does it screw off? I tried but it wouldn't budge

I imagine you need a ball joint splitter.

I thought about that. Just wondered if it's threaded. Damn wish I knew before I yank it off. I have ball joint splitter. Thanks for input!

its a seat that DOES NOT come with the OEM Spindle.
