Default Ksport Vs Bilstein?

Hey all long time lurker here, and trust me I used the search function on this one but every post regarding ksports is over a year old or comparing to something like megans or bc. Now I recently purchased a 03 350 and am beginning my build up on it and of course would like to do suspension before tossing any real power into it. End goal is a daily driver that can do track days and street rally. I had my eye pretty set on either some b14 or b16 coilovers but when I chatted with my tuner today he actually highly reccomended ksports. Im assuming he is full of **** and is just trying to plug for them but can anyone give an honest opinion of how the kontrol pros or kontrol+ is vs a b14/b16 setup with upper and rear control arms on both of course? Im not looking to lower the car anymore as it is sitting low enough because of the wheels.

A rep from one of the forum vendors also recommended ksports to me a while back, but its hard to know if theyre truthful or just trying to move a product they have a higher margin of profit on......having said that, I dont have any experience with either, but I will be going with the bilstein when i re-do my suspension in a few months. At this point of the game I'd rather spend a little more on a product known for quality......good luck and happy modding

I would take Bilstien any day of the week over K-Sport. They probably just wanted you to buy what they can get you and make the most off of.

I have never owned or used K-Sport so I cannot describe a comparison.

I can tell you I've owned and used Bilstein for may years; Bilstein makes absolutely great components... I think the best.

I have PSS10's on my 350 and couldn't be happier. I used their heavy duties on my old X5 and have a set of their struts/shocks laying in the garage for my Z4 as we speak. Other than the Koni's I have on my M3 I use nothing but Bilstein and will continue to do so.

Never used Ksports, but I have been very happy with both sets of Bilstein shocks I have installed. (two different cars)

Yup, had them on one car, have them on one of the current cars, waiting for them to release them for my Sienna. I even volunteered to give up my van for a couple weeks so they can build them

I have Bilstein PSS10's (B16) as well and it's one of my favorite mods other than my wheels. I was looking at cheaper components like stance, ksport, pbm etc. but decided against it.

I bought a set of K sports for a prior car, they were garbage. Go with a trusted name. If you have enough of a doubt that you need to ask, then you likely already know your answer

I have Bilsteins on my car. Unlike other shocks that noticeably feel weak as you put more miles on them, the Bilsteins feel brand new after a few years.

If you don't have any specific preference for hardcore alignment, I would suggest the B8 shocks coupled with some Spring lowering springs. Even when lowered an inch or so, the Z can still retain close to factory alignment with stock arms.

I remember ksport had like 50% margin so it makes sense why people are pushing it.

Not to threadjack, like OP said, last heard Ksport reviews are more than ayear old.

I have a friend selling a set from his G, and he said they were fine. Just wanted to see if anyone else ran the kontrol pros at a reasonable height and not stanced out.
