Being the daughter of a (domestic) dealerships owner, EOM are great times to shops, as are January, March and towards the end of summer (~August), right before the next year models arrive.
One thing all soon-to-be Z owners want to really consider here though, and that's what exactly is your intent for the car - pleasure? performance? appearance? all the bells and whistles w/o the headache?
pleasure/loaded, go with the premium model/addition. performance/appearance, best to go with the base or just slightly above. Why spend thousands more on something you can have someone else do and do better...custom stereo, interior, exterior, engine mods. My Z was the first car I bought that was base model...only floormats were added to my bill! And I'll tell you, I seriously STOLE that car (below invoice even after taxes w/TRADE IN!!). If you think about it, for the price I paid, I could buy an APS TT system, custom leather/suede int and body kit for the same/maybe even less than the top model. The car would be faster, more custom and more appealing to you personally (and probably by other admirers!). BUT there's your time to rearch, time to take the car from one place to the next and the time spent away from driving and and enjoying your Z. So you have to decide what's most important!!

just throwing in my

ONE MORE THING!! I've read there is a new Z comin' up in the next couple of years...keep in mind, when it comes out, you're probably going to want to get it instead!!
