About to purchase a Z, need advice.
Hey guys, I'm hoping you can offer up some advice for me.
Yesterday I went to the dealership to pick up a San Marino Blue 350Z Base. Naturally, they didn't ACTUALLY have it, but they do have one on order. So, that being said, I went ahead and worked out some financing options (I haven't signed anything other than a credit app).
I *think* the price may be a little high, and this is where I'd like some input.
They want $550/mo. at 6.2% for 60 months, which comes out to around $28500 (they were going to offer me $500 for my trade-in, HA!).
So, minus the trade-in, the out the door cost would be close to $29,000. Based on my research, that price seems a bit much. Should I negotiate down to 28, or possibly lower?
I appreciate any advice you can give.
P.S. Just to clear any possible confusion, I'll reiterate: This is a Base model.

This is on an 07 right? Maybe you can get a little better price on the base. To compair I bought my Touring for 32500 6.1 @ 60months 600/month with lowjack.

What kind of car did you have for trade? If I were you, just keep it as a beater. I never have to cringe when I have to go pick herbs up at the asian super market.

Yeah, it's an '07.
The trade in is an old '96 Neon. Thing is, it runs great and has nothing wrong with it. I'll definitely keep the car or try selling it myself.

I just bought an '07 Enthusiast 2 weeks ago at invoice with no haggling at all.Nissan is offering the dealers some great incentives to move product this month,so invoice is easy.I am N.Ca,however, not S.Ca,but I can recommend this dealership without hesitation(I am not sure if Forum rules allow me to name them here). It was without a doubt the best sales experience I have had to date, and I average a new car about every two years.
