Default I think I'm gonna keep the car after the lease is up

I originally planned to buy the car when I got it but had to lease it because of credit issues. I was going to refi it into a purchase after my credit went up but I totally forgot to for 2 years. So I was like wow such a waste.. Then bam... Got rearended resulting in 17k in damage. I was like good thing I didnt refi it because the value definetly took a hit, plus I love my auto but I was looking forward to driving stick with the auto blip. I was laid off in june so my credits been takin a dive.

I think I may be better off buying it out and doing suspension work like sways and a drop. Maybe paint the roof, new tires and brakes. This way I may land a job soon and I won't screw up at all so I'll be back on track. Do you think I could bargain for cheaper for the buy out? since I would point out the accident and the real resale value. I still get compliments on the car just as recent as yesterday on a highway. The guy yelled at me, he was old too, he scared the **** out of me lol. It's such a beauty, I wanna get it professionally detailed if I land this job, wish me luck.. Its for Mercedes .. no not selling cars though

Why buy the car that has been an accident, the dealer wont give it to you for what you want it for. Then you'll have a car with an accident on the carfax which other people will be unlikely to touch.

My advice is to give it up when the lease is over and get a car that is more affordable to your situation

It may be just me, but I seem to notice a pattern. It would appear that the reason you have credit issues is you like to spend money way too much. You don't have a job yet you are talking about spending a whole lot of money that you can ill afford to spend to do all this work on a street car?

-Return the car at the end of the lease.
-Buy a cheap reliable car.
-Get a job and keep it. If you haven't got an education yet, get it.
-Save your money.
-Then, when you are financially stable, think about buying a toy like a Z but -do it with cash.

^ +1. You could end up with more debt. Z parts are not cheap!

^ +2. I thought I was the only one that saw that pattern in his writing. It sucks, but you dont want to make a bad situation worse.

I do not lease vehicles, but there may be an advantage buying your leased Z: you know that it has been cared for.
