So some of you know a few weeks ago I went to test drive one of my hero cars, a 2011 Aston Martin DB9 for the first time. Being almost near 200k with all the fees and taxes my state is known to rape people for, it kind of dashed my hopes for that car. The sales guy that let me get a test drive with the DB9 contacted me this morning about this beauty that just came in with a lower price, the nice V12 I like from the DB9 but unfortunately it's a four door and I would of preferred a traditional manual transmission. A 2010 Aston Martin Rapide with just over 5,000miles. She's a beauty though and I'm going to just see it in person. I still want the DB9 though. I won't mention trading in my Z because I know I'll just get peanuts for it but my M3 should cover a good amount if i trade it or sell it then use some cash I saved up to pay the rest. But this is all hypothetical. I don't really want this four door sedan.

Even as a 4 door it's amaZing.
To be honest you must be very well off because to me 200k would be better served for a house. Being that much I wouldn't settle in any regard. You want the dream car for that price and I would wait it out until you find it.
May I ask what kind of work you do? I'm looking for a career change and it sounds like you make good money.

If your dream car is in your reach, it definitely isn't the time to compromise.. Especially with that 4-door monstrosity.
I hope that you end up with the DB9 that you want; Aston Martins have been my personal dream for many years as well..
Also I think you'd enjoy this article: http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/08/...dream-factory/
Good luck sir

Pulling the trigger on a 2009 DB9 in Mass today. Driving there to see it person right now and shipping it back to my house if everything is perfect then registering it on Tuesday. It has a 6 speed, silver like my Z, the detailed videos and pictures the owner sent me were awesome, the Carfax history and all maintenance done all checks out and I'm drafting a contract to make sure this guy doesn't try to screw me over. If he does I'll send my boys to his house to rape his wife and force his kids to eat vegetables lol jk.
I can't believe this is finally happening. I have the same nervous/anxious feeling I had when I first drove my Z out of the dealership. I never would of thought that I would ever be this close to actually owning one outside of gran turismo. The feeling is unreal. I'll upload pictures after everything goes through.

Apparently it's been in storage for awhile but it started up and ran like the beauty it is. I also noticed two of the passenger side rims were a bit scuffed up. I'm sure there's ways to easily hide the marks on the rims. It's a used car so it happens. I slightly peeled the tires and jerked the car around changing gears, I guess I was nervous.

It's not impossible. But i'm not going to say I didn't get any help either. Getting a Aston Martin was literally my motivation for almost every move I made probably since I played need for speed high stakes on play station one. Only reason I went to university and even wanted a job was the hope I can buy just one of those cars.

I hate seeing those words lol You don't have to live by a schedule that society tries to lay out for you man. Yes life does happen but as of right now your looking out for #1 and avoid debt. I planned on avoiding getting married until maybe my late 30s or 40s but now I met a girl that I admit I'm crazy about. But it's going to take a unplanned pregnancy to make me calm down. *knocks on wood*
