Default Does this Z seem worth it?

Long story short, loved Z's since I was 12 or so. Finally got enough saved for one and been looking for one for about a month. Found this beautiful Daytona Blue Z only 100 miles from me and it seems so perfect (not the wheels I want, but they will be winter wheels anyway). But Kelley Blue Book puts this year and mileage rate at around $9-10k. Is $12k just way too much? Should I back out or go for it? (Description says "no haggle pricing")

I know there isn't that much info for me to tell you guys but I'm going to look at it in a couple days. It could drive like poop for all I know but just wanted opinions.

Been lurking on here for a couple months thought you guys could help.

In my opinion, thats too much for an 05 Base model. Personally I wouldn't go for it.

Way too much for that Z. Would not pay more than 10k. And it better be in excellent condition for THAT price. Keep looking. Took me months and months of daily hunting to find my Z and ended up getting blessed with a maxed out Roadster in near fresh from the factory condition.

Keep your eyes open for a 2003-2005 with low miles. For example mine has 51,000 miles and I'm selling it for 13,000.

Only buy one that is all stock.

Comparing that to what was available in my area, the price seems about right . Maybe a tiny bit high. But there is nothing similar around me for cheaper.

I agree, it's really all about your market.

In the northeast it's a bit more difficult to find a 350z. It took me about 6 months to find a 6 speed touring, with low miles and 100% stock.

I needed to find one in NY around me due to the loan conditions. Luckily I paid the car off and am enjoying the Z!

Tell me about it... I live on the Eastern Shore and there are literally 0 for sale over here. Even across the Bay Bridge when you can find them, they are still really expensive.

Thanks for the help guys! I figured it was too much now I know for sure. When I go I am going to offer 9k for it, if they don't take that, ima walk. I still have 3 more Z's (including a 04 Touring, semi decent mileage) to look at for on my trip next week luckily.

There really is nothing wrong with a Z with that mileage. I have seen some by me for sale recently with 130-160K miles. The VQ engine is a sound engine that doesn't require much maintenance. But it really depends on how the previous owner drove it.

You will regret getting cloth. Makes the car look cheap. Miles are fine IMO, but too expensive

I agree about the price being too high for that mileage.
For the record, thai is not a Base model...it has cruise control on the steering wheel. It does also have OEM 18" wheels. Maybe an Enthusiast model?
Good luck with your search.Remember, be patient!

Really? I didn't really care if the seats were leather or cloth. I was actually leaning toward cloth because my brother has leather seats and I don't really like them. I slide around too much. I test drove a Z with cloth seats and I loved it. But maybe I will change my mind.
