Pricing Question
Hey guys I am new to this forum and am looking to maybe purchase my first 350z and was wandering if I could get some opinions on the value of these cars.
I am currently thinking about picking up a 2008 Nismo Edition that is for sale locally. It has 49,XXX miles on it and they are asking $22,477, it is a dealer.
Doing the little research I did the price seems to be a little on the high side. Thoughts?
Thanks guys!

Just looking through older for sale posts. The ones that I saw people seem to be asking $23-$25k with lower miles. That is how I am determining it but like I said I am new to the 350z and might be totally wrong.
There is a black Nismo for sale right now on this forum with 52k miles and says he would take $19k for it.
We currently have an Evo, STi and S2000 CR so I know the market for those cars. Just no idea about the Z's.

They always fetch more but unless your happy with it in stock form I wouldn't pay the extra money for one... Not when you can get a clean 07-08 for $5-9k less... And you could easily find a 370z for the same price and a nismo 370z for only a little more.
It is however worth whatever your willing to pay for it, I personally wouldnt pay much more for the nismo when you have so many other options.
But thats just me, I would rather have a nice 03 track...

This is right in your neck of the woods.
And if you hang out on the forum long enough you get some sales like this that pop up

You should hit the books a lil pal.
@OP - The price is too high, I've been keeping track of the nismo market for awhile now. I wouldn't go for anything higher than 18, and even that may be pushing a little. See what's been done to the car, what needs done, mechanical and electrical integrity. Those will determine the actual value.

My bad didnt mean to be insulting...
Some suspension that doesn't lower the car much, isnt adjustable and you will want to upgrade anyways...
Some awesome forged rays that are nice in the front and boat anchors in the back.
A body kit that actually fits the car, but will cost you a fortune when you need to replace any part of it. That supposedly makes the car more aerodynamic, because the normal Z is shaped like a mack truck.
Some dampers and braces that stabilize the engine and chassis because a normal Z is so sloppy and flexible...
A same as every other hr nismo exhaust with cool tips.
Im sure they add something else im missing, but I dont have a nizmo and wouldn't really want one, like I said its fine if you plan to leave it in stock form... If you dont I would rather just take a base model.

^ The Nismo salt is heavy with this one. haha
OP, realistically speaking, that price is on the brink of getting high for my liking, considering the mileage, maybe see what else has been done to the car. However, from a biased an owners perspective, I'm more than happy to see the prices holding, and in some cases rising. I've seen one sold in the low 40s and 30s, which is more than worth it imo. If you hold out, you'll come across one with ridiculously low mileage at a edecnt price, but you may have to travel/ship the vehicle. I absolutely love my Nismo, wouldn't trade it for anything.. and Nissan has been trying to buy it back for about the past year.

Yeah, no, I'm not that critical. I mean, I only called the Nismo the BEST Z out of the box because I owned it.
Note the heavy inflection of sarcasm.
If you want to know what I really think of the Nismo....

Thanks for all the advise guys!
I think this weekend I am going still go and give this Z a look and hopefully take it for a test drive. I have never driven a 350Z (or and Z for the matter) so I want to make sure I actually like the way they drive before I go any further. And who knows maybe they will come down on their asking price a lot.
