Better in what way? (cost, shine, durability, color enhancement, ease of application, availability, ..... ).

I used Meguiars Gold Class on a dark navy blue metallic car I had a few years back. It produced a nice shine but at times it was very hard to buff off so I stopped using it. After I learned that polymers were more durable than waxes I went the polymer route.

You are welcome to try my Zaino since I no longer use it. I've posted this many times but my ideal combination so far has been 3M polish followed by Blitz One Grand Wax. I have tried Klasse, Pinnacle, Mothers, Meguire's, Zymol, and a few other cheaper ones. Pinnacle is probably the other wax that was as good or better than Blitz, but costs $70 per can. I'm going to try the Zaino on my aunt's black G35C to see if it works better for darker colors, but it really did nothing for my chrome silver 350Z. It's true that synthetics last longer, but that point is really insignificant given that I wax my car every 2 weeks anyways.

I used the same combination that onefastdoc listed.. 3M polish followed by Blitz One Grand. Its affordable, and looks great. I've recently switched to Blackfire for testing it out. The blackfire definatly holds up better over time in terms of needing a new treatment.. but I'd venture the 3M+One Grand probably gave a deeper shine on my Super Black.

Click on the link in my sig for photos of both my Wax treatment and the Blackfire treatment.

Blitz is awesome.. I bought it at www.properautocare.com

They are probably talking about 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009, but it is an abrasive and not the kind of thing you want to use all the time. Case in point, I bought my current black car in 1997 (still own it today) and the paint was abused by the dealer so I fixed it with 3M Swirl Mark Remover and 3M Finesse It II and I have not used an abrasive product on the paint in any way since it was fixed in 1997... If you do not promote swirl marks in the techiques that you use, there is no reason to continue to use an abrasive product over time.
