Default GS27 scratch remover works?

Does anyone know if GS27 (as seen on TV) scratch remover actually works?

Ha, not like it does on tv, LOL, scratch down to the primer repaired in a few seconds, not hardly.

You would be better off getting a proper product body shops use in the 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009

It works on small scratches. Mostly I use it for paint swaps that happen. Like, you have a white car and one day you find a red smear on the door where some ******* in a red SUV threw their door open into your car. GS27 or Meguiar's ScratchX will take out the paint swap. It will also take care of 'rubs' from other things rubbing on your car. Its not really a scratch, but it left a mark on the paint that washing isn't going to remove. It will remove those fingernail scratches that you see under door handles on cars too. It has its uses, just not like they show on TV. ScratchX is cheaper and works just as well if you come by some of it and want to give it a try.

It is nothing more than a glorified rubbing compound.

Kinda. Its more like 'glorified rubbing compound in an easy to carry tube'.
