Default Have You Guys Used MEGUIR'S GOLD CLASS???

I just purchased a Meguiar's GOLD CLASS clear coat LIQUID car wax... I ordered a Zaino today.
So for now I decided to use Meguir's and use Zaino at next CarWash.

Have you guys used this product before???
I know It's not going to be good as Zaino but is it still alright?

Ji.

I waxed my car last week with Meguire's gold and it did an excellent job. Am very happy with the results.

i used the meguires..and indeed it did a good job. BUT...at my job a gliptone specialist comes in every so often to bring tire gloss and rim cleaner so i asked him about wax. what color he asks, silverstone i reply. he gave me this wax specifically used for dark colors,it is pink in color and called "CHERRY BOMB" it smells DELICIOUS and it works amazing. only downfall is that you have to wax your car every 2 weeks or so. just some info

yeah i used the same one on my Maxima. I got the liquid kind. Its not specifically made for dark colors... rather you get better results with dark colored cars. You can use it for any color car. Its pretty good, but it doesn't last long as Zaino or Blackfire. I only use Blackfire on my Z. You can't really tell the difference visually since u have a PPW... but i'm sure you don't have to wax as often when you slap on some Zaino. Your basically buying durability with Zaino... and its a good thing

I have been using the Meguirs Gold Class for a year and I like it. I would like to try Zaino soon but I my brain is too saturated with EGT gauge options, and A/F gauge options, etc. to try to absorb the complete Zaino process. If Dr. Bonz would like to do my car, I would be ready!

I've used the Meguires Gold Class for the past 4 years on cars from red to tan to silver to blue to black... the end result on all colors - dark and light - has been excellent and smooth wax that lasts probably a month or so, depending on the WX.

I used the same Gold Class on my 240SX.
BUT, I also went the whole nine by claybaring, pre-wax, polish, then GC. It was a pita, but the car's finish looks great.
I decided that the multi-step process is really the way to go IF your starting over on a vehicle--which I was.
For my Z, I'm waiting for some dry weather to begin the Zaino process.

I only use Meguiars Gold class products. I use steps 1, 2, and then Gold Class. I have been using these products for 10 years and the shine in my opinion is very comparable to Zaino.

Six, do you have any idea how hard it is to look at that shine? I have to physically grab my head with my hands and turn it to the right away from your avatar. I have also noticed time just fly by when I come to one of your postings. oh precious @ss cheeks, daddy likes

I was never satified with the durability of the GoldClass. It looks good, but after about 2 weeks in the California sun, it is pretty much melted off.

Believe it or not, I have been using the stuff by Prestone (big blue bottle) and it is really good stuff - and 6 bucks! I know that people look at it and go - cheap stuff, cant be any good. But it recently won a wax-off in Consumer Reports, beating the Mequire's products for durability and shine.

Its a synthetic wax - but is more like a hybrid of a polymer and a wax. So it gives the nice optics of wax, but bonds to the paint so that it doesn't just melt away. I've been getting about 3 months with excellent beading still.
