well Dr. Bonz has about 4 dozen layers of wax on his car, and no yellow/duller funish. Zaino seems to just get better with every coat. Dont know about the other waxes.
depends on what product you use. I use blackfire... and it can last up to 6 months or more (depending if you take care of your car well) I typically do it every 4 months just to be on the safe side.
on the other hand.. using meguiars on my maxima... only lasts about 2 months at the most then i have to reapply
if you use something like zaino, which can be layered, i'd say its safe to do it twice a month.
just stay away from harsh abrasives.. you don't want to apply those too much in a short time

I wax about once a month; but I too use zaino. I wouldnt do that with a regular wax. but then again; how dont you? wait till the old layer completely wears off; or clay it off every time you wax...
sucks either way. thats why polymer is better. wont ever yellow.
Most waxes are cleaner waxes which remove the previous coat with the next coat, so build up is really not a problem. Zaino is not a cleaner wax but is a layering 99.9% optically clear synthetic so not build up, no dulling, etc....
