Default aargh...scratch

Dang. I've had the car for less than a month and I have a little hair scratch on the side. Its not deep. What should I use to get it out?

did it scratch to the primer, or just the clear coat? If just the clear coat use 3m swirl and scratch remover, or a few coats of Z5 will fill it it, and have a nice shine.

Its definetly not down to the primer. I've got a bottle of 1500 grit fine cut swirl remover from 3m. Will that work?

1500 sounds a bit low. rather abrasive, Id imagine youd have to go over it again with a 2000grit to take out the fine scratches you get.

dont make a small situation alot worse. make sure its worth taking out the polish compound for...

3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009 is what you want, buy at NAPA or Pep boys.
