Help: Overclocking old computer
Well, I have an older computer that I would like to overclock a tad bit. Nothing crazy I don't want to have to buy new fans or anything like. Basically I won't have the cash for a new computer for another month or two and I'm playing a game right now thats kind of killing my computer.
Here are the specs: System Model: AWRDACPI BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 1024MB RAM Page File: 918MB used, 1541MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found Can someone wth experience explain to me slowly how to overclock it. I've read on the internet but I've seen different ways, front bus, bus, etc. and I'm kind of confused. Any help would be appreciated. |

It looks like that might be a good place to start.

Overclocking won't gain you much unless it is extreme. What sort of videocard do you have?

if the game is already "killing" your PC...overclocking is one of the last things you want to do...
