Help: Overclocking old computer

Well, I have an older computer that I would like to overclock a tad bit. Nothing crazy I don't want to have to buy new fans or anything like. Basically I won't have the cash for a new computer for another month or two and I'm playing a game right now thats kind of killing my computer.

Can someone wth experience explain to me slowly how to overclock it. I've read on the internet but I've seen different ways, front bus, bus, etc. and I'm kind of confused.

Overclocking won't gain you much unless it is extreme. What sort of videocard do you have?

if the game is already "killing" your PC...overclocking is one of the last things you want to do...
