well i tried pretty much all the verizon phones at my local store the other day since i had to wait for a replacement for my treo...
what does your wife need/want in a phone? because my replacement was a blackberry curve - the curve probably the best phone for verizon, small, lightweight, full keyboard, email, etc. theres really no touch screen phone i'd recommend from verizon. the lg voyager was probably the best one if u had to go with touchscreen, but they are all primative touch screens compared to the iphone, which i just got yesterday

i will be getting the LG VU in a week or so. the touch screen is probably not as advanced as the iphone but honestly the phone looks great and i don't need to go up in my monthly payment by $30 a month.

Played with this the other day at the store, and it's pretty compact and sleek, not bad compared to an iphone. Of course it doesn't have all the flair of the iphone, but compared to my sister's voyager I think the touchscreen was pretty easy to use. I'm not a big fan of touch screens though, going for the curve in a week or so.

most new phones will have a touch screen i actually really like the new Samsung Omnia however that will be one expensive phone. |

I would like a phone that my wife could use that is easy to use, but at the same time i won't have issues with. She was using a blackberry pearl. Although i too liked the phone it often wouldn't lock/unlock when she wanted it to. The pearl ball wasn't as sensitive as it should have been. Sometimes it would even shut down on its own with her knowing it. I am confident in the blackberry phones however this is the one time it crapped out as bad as it did. Otherwise the phone itself is awesome. I just went on the Verizon site to check out the phones available and they were advertising the phone on the front of the web page and was actually an eye catcher. I was watching the video of how the phone worked and was surprised at how fast the touchscreen works. Again maybe not the same flair as the iphone but this is just as good and i beleive it stated that it was also 3g(not sure what that means but the new iphone seems to have it)

Zero-did you do an upgrade(through Verizon) or did you buy(ebay) the phone and just transfer your number? What features does it have in comparison to the iphone and what do you think separates it from the iphone if any.
