Why does my XBOX play with a green tint?

2 days ago my Xbox started playing all my games and movies in a greenish tint, and I can't figure out why

. All the cables are plugged where they should be and I haven't changed any of my color settings. Has this happened to anyone else? Or does anyone know why it's doing this? It's really annoying to watch movies and have everyone look like Shrek

. I'd appreciate any help...thanks!

Actually I should have called Microsoft before posting this

Sounds like the A/V port has gone bad. How old is the unit? Maybe Microsoft will cover it under warranty.

It's only about a year old...not sure of exact date but I'll call Microsoft in the morning and talk to them. I went and bought a regular DVD player a few minutes ago since I want to get rid of the Xbox after its fixed anyways. Now everything is back to normal colors

Using HDMI or component? Looks like you're using a component cable and have a problem with the red. Hopefully, it's your cable and not the machine. Try swapping to a different cable. Last time I saw a picture like that, someone's cat had chewed through the red cable.

+1 on swapping the cable. Borrow one from your friend, and see how it plays out

Caught this late, but yeah, you're missing 1/3rd of your component signal. Check that the plugs are pushed in all the way on your display.

I've had problems with component cables not quite pushed in all the way

I just called xbox customer support and my warranty expired in july. So it looks like I need to go buy another component cable
