I love the Nokia N97 so much that I bought a second one for the girlfriend. If you think that IPhone or Blackberry is better, then you need to open your little eyes and check this device out. It's superior to all other phone out there, and it costs less than most options that come with your car
It has a resistive touch screen, so you can touch the screen even if you are wearing gloves or using your fingernail. With Iphone's capactive touch screen, you must use your finger tip, which is a pain in the ass when typing. Honestly, the Iphone is a neat novelty item to have for funs and giggles, but if you want an actual phone that you can depend on (i.e. if you're stranded in the middle of nowhere), a bullet-proof Nokia phone is the only thing you want with you by your side.
Yea I'm running it on 3G. I got each phone for $700 CAD unlocked, so about $1400 in total. Totally worth it though, if you think about it.. a navigation option is a friggin' $2200 CAD!!
Why bad choices? You gotta pay to play. Due to the nature of my job (wireless network engineer), I have used every top of the line phone from every company you can imagine, including a $3-4,000 virtue, and this is my conclusion.
I've used the Pre too. Not a fan of the android OS.
No need to be jealous, everyone can afford this phone, it just depends on what your priority is. Personally I think that the most important items in a person's life are:
It is a cool phone i owned a n95 8gig for 2 years. All the reviews ive seen arent spectacular though, i hear the hardware is all plasticy and not great at all. Several other negatives about the touchscreen and the OS not working as smooth as most would want. I just dont think nokia is on the same level as apple sorry.
N97 is already out?! I just heard about the N96 not long ago, and had my N95 8BG for only a few months. Can't keep up. But I love my N95, mainly because it's not a touchscreen and doesn't have a full keyboard. Not a fan of those features.

Don't read reviews! I, too, read them before I got the phone, but after using the phone, I think some of those reviews (like GSMArena) are pretty rigged. I mean, it's not like I haven't owned an iPhone before. I know very well what to expect when shelling out this kind of money.
