Iphone broke - should i stay with iphone or get another type of phone?

Ok so im locked in my contract for awhile with at&t. Had a iphone 3g and its completely broken and cannot be repaired so thats not even a option. So first thing in the morning I HAVE to go get a new phone. Should i get the iphone 3gs or look at something else? Im happy with the iphone. Apps were cool and all but i do know a few other phones can actually play TV from what i heard.

Any recommendations?

Here's my question...did you have insurance on your original iPhone?

If not, be prepared to shell out $500 for your new one. As I understand the AT&T policy, you only get the first one for $200 for signing the contract. If you don't get insurance, a replacement costs the regular $500. I may be wrong though.

I had a BB 8100 before the iPhone & I thought I couldn't type any faster on any other phone, until the iPhone.

I have both an iphone 3G and a Black Berry Bold. I like the iphone for playing around, but the Black Berry bold is much more functional for my life.

oh and I cannot text faster on the iphone, the BB is much faster for me. I send about 300 texts a day through work.

Guess ill stick with another iphone then. Hope they have the 3gs in stock tho. Will take a look at the blackberry bold tho to be certain.

I can type faster on any phone with T9 then the iphone. I could even write messages without looking at the keys. How I miss my 3390.

if you bought your phone anytime near the initial roll out date of the 3g, the 16gb 3gs will cost $399 and the 32gb will cost $499 with a $18 upgrade fee.

i know this bc i just bought my iphone 3gs the other day after my 3g broke. However, try listing your 3g on ebay. i got over $200 for my water damaged one (16gb white)

Get a real phone:
