on a serious note the Pre is pretty cool ive played with them quite a bit. I dont like the keyboard at all but im used to the iphone so thats pretty opinionated. Multitasking is cool i guess i multitask on my iphone now that im jailbroken so thats a wash for me. More space with iphone, It kinda comes down to what she likes in her hand or if she wants sprint or att. If physical keyboard is what you want then pre is it if that doesnt matter then i would go for the iphone. Just my opinion.

I have seen a couple guys at the casino's with the Palm Pre...

It looks cool... smaller than I thought it would be... The GUI looks like it runs smoothly...

But I love my MyTouch

i kind of thought being able to toggle between apps was pretty cool, but i cant think of a time when i need more than one app open at a time?
and like a winmo phone the apps take a while to open. kind of annoying.

i would take a palm pre before a blackberry. For me iphone3gs>palm pre>>>>>blackberry. If someone stole my 3gs and replaced it with a palm pre i wouldnt be too upset. This is just from me playing with the BB', palm pre's in store.

It basically does the same thing the iPhone does but with less apps and a physical keyboard. Also, I'm paying about $25-30 less per month than if I was with AT&T. 450min/unlimited text/unlimited data for $67 including taxes and fees.

I guess it really depends on how much you want to spend per month, that's what it came down to with me.

yeah i hear ya, you can jailbreak the iphone and install backgrounder and it keeps the apps running in the background you select then you can just go back to it and the same page etc will be open. or you can stream music while searching the web texting etc.

I have a buddy who owns the Pre, and another that has the iphone 3Gs... and we were watching the video for Call of Duty: MW2 on youtube on the iphone and it was honestly horrible compared to the Pre, the iPhone seemed pixelated in comparison. The only thing I didn't like about the pre was that I was trying to connect via bluetooth to send and receive files and it wouldn't let me. Whack. Honestly it really depends on the user if they are gonna use it more of a phone than an entertainment ctr. Because the pre is relatively new, there are not as many apps for it as the iphone has, but within time I believe it'll be caught up with applications.

the pre will have more then it has now, but the iphone has a headstart the pre will never have as many apps. Plus jailbreaking the phone just leaves endless possibilities. I think the video's on both phones are pretty similar in my eyes. Neither one really seems any better.

it depends how you are watching the video's on youtube... if you are connected via BroadBand WiFi youtube video's are in higher resolution and full screen... (atleast on my G1 and MyTouch)...

One of the reasons they ditched analog TV and switched to digitial is the Digital TV signal is on frequencies that US cell phones can pick up allowing for the Cell Phone user to watch TV on their phone... This will not require an internet connection of any type, just TV signals so quality will always be high and there will be no buffering since it is in real time....

HOpefully this will work on our current phones!

true, but IMO the majority of the apps for the iphone and the bb's are ridiculousness.

i have 4 apps on my BB and can think of about 4 more i want to buy. the rest are useless IMO

if you are in a metro area check the quality of the AT&T service, in houston it's HORRID, at least 3-4 dropped calls a day. And of course the "call failed" constantly while driving home..

suckage.
