MAC Virus - ruins keyboards

The exact weakness in the Mac OS used to install the hack on the keyboard is unknown, but Chen says that the code needed to execute the attack in under 100kb and takes under 18 seconds to execute. Once infected the keyboard can’t be fixed and would simply need to be replaced. Chen says he is working with Apple on a fix for the issue.

Is it wrong to rejoice in the suffering of Apple users? I can't help but feel good about this in a Bill Burr kind of way.

The only reason why MACs don't get virus' is because no one wants to take time to write the code that will affect 5 people.

Serious, what is the most damage something like this would do? Screw up some guys dreamweaver webpage design?

if i get a virus all i do is backup my files and reinstall the OS...which has happened only once

hi, I'm a pc. I would realize if it didn't work I could replace it for 30 dollars. probably the same for macs, right?

What has been said repeatedly and accurately is that there are NO exploits in the wild. They have been created in labs by apple, or for contests...

Where folks span the spectrum is determining WHY there are none. Security through obscurity? Better security model? Reason X?

And whatever the reason, there are NO exploits in the wild for Mac OS X.

Vulnerabilities do NOT equal viruses....

Anyways, for those of you that didn't read, "Strangely it doesn't attack hardware inside the computer, rather the attack focuses on Apple's USB and Bluetooth keyboards."

I don't use a USB or Bluetooth keyboard
