Fukcing patches and not working right bugs, etc. Worse than console. Playing KOTOR and the bish keeps fukcing up, Im a whole 15% into the fukcing game!
Im doing what I need to do to get the game working, its patched up and I just had to change the .ini file a bit to see if it will keep the game from crashing.
It seems like the problem is pc gaming not me. (really the people who made the game)
I'm playing Aion through the closed beta with a couple of my friends. It's a blast- first MMO I've played since warcraft that's I could see myself getting into. Age of Conan, Guild Wars, etc... all failures. This one is a winner.
We've played it up to level 10 and it's great. Can't speak yet about what it's like past that.
Try BattleField 2 and StarCraft 2. You'll fall in love with PC gaming again. I still play Tribes 2 regularly and a small 2D game called Continuum / SubSpace. Make sure you have at least a 5.1 Surround Sound system.
Patches usually fix any problems I have with games. I don't mind them being 600MB+ as long as it makes the game work.

I hate I.T. Period. Only use it 'cause I got to at work--where I'm at, BTW!!! It lends itself for too much control of our finances, personal info', etc. Only time will tell if it plays a role in end-times prophecy ("666")!
hacks and cheats are the main reasons i pretty much stopped playing pc games. i dont play console games because i had using game pads.
mouse + joystick > gamepad
It depends on the game for me. KOTOR, imo, is definately better on a controller then on mouse/keyboard.
One thing I can and will give PC gaming, the load times are just rediculously fast! My gawd Im flying through loads that would have taken my old xbox 20-60+ seconds in just 2-5!

I can remember playing Tribes 1 with the renegade mod...holy shizz that was fun. I lost count how many times I nearly pissed my pants laughing so hard after railgunning people!
Damn, I may have to load up Tribes 2 again! Wonder if it will work with Windows 7 64 bit
Console gaming is cheap and convenient... and that's where the benefits end. Everything else PC is so much better. Graphics (consoles catching up nowadays), Keyboard and mouse on an FPS is 32513251235x better then a controller, less lag with dedicated servers, load times as stated, etc. etc.
I just wish I wasn't a cheap bastard and just go upgrade my pc.
With a decent computer and smart browsing habits (if you fill your computer up with malware and viruses, then you can expect many problems) you should experience little to no bugs unless the game itself sucks.
Most big name companies fix their bugs fairly quickly. Its also pretty nice to get occasional content updates (for free) with patches as opposed to pure bug/balance fixes.
If you're a hardcore gamer, there is also the introduction of mods to breathe new life into older games. (The original BF1942 had a ton of good mods, as well as the legendary Desert Combat)
