Default Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5 RMA

I recently upgraded my computer from 1 GB RAM which I had been using since 2006 to 5 GB along with Win7 (64). One of my 2 GB sticks randomly died on me last night. The Newegg RMA is invalid now (~40 days), so I have to RMA through Corsair. Any idea how quick this process is? I filed the RMA online last night, and am currently waiting on a response. I'm going to have to return both RAM sticks since I bought them in a pack- just wondering how long I'll have to suffer with 1 GB again

A couple weeks to a couple months. It depends.

Also... are you using a 2x2gb pair with 2x512 or 1x1gb?

A few weeks isn't bad, I guess. I'm using 2x2GB and 2x1GB in the computer. I'm trying to figure out what caused this, and I just have a feeling it has to do with Win7 sleeping. I had some issues with that, and not always being able to bring the computer back. All the temp files are stored on the RAM- so I have a feeling this may have had something to do with it, but all we have is an issue of correlation, not necessarily causation, so can't really prove much. And either way, I would assume the RAM would clear itsself upon being removed/having power cut anyway. Oh well, package has been shipped
