Canon typically releases a new version of their DSLR between Aug - Nov each year. Rumor has it the Canon D50 out for the past year will be replaced by a new camera, either named the D60 or D7. Supposely faster fps (from 6 to 8) & digital video are expected. Both interest me.
I am ready to buy a new camera & lens but dont want buyers remorse. If you happen to work for Canon and know anything regarding this, please pm me,
I am tired of waiting...
Thanks,

I appreciate what you are saying but I am planning on doing a lot of telephoto shots & the D50 etc increase the lens by 1.6 thus making affordable lens for me. In otherwords I prefer not to spend $6000 on a 500mm f/4 L series lens when I could get something like a 100-400mm lens that is 25% of the cost & still do a good job at what I want to do.

Well, I ordered a 40D, opting not to get the 50D because the pictures are know to be softer. Now, my bet is Canon will release a new model. Upside; If they do it within 30 days, I can return the 40D & get a full refund.

Click the half page on the left to the 40d, and the one on the right to the 7d. Then scroll down to the house poster on both. After it loads, double click again right on the house for the high res image on both sides. Scroll down to the bricks and window and compare the bricks. After comparing to the 40d, compare the 5d Mark 2 to the 7d. Wow again. The 7d out resolves the supposedly 5d Mark 2. Unless this comparison is rigged, it makes the 7D look pretty good.

Took some shots today @ lowers. Tomorrow is the ASP pro contest. I just wanted to try out the Canon 40D & my new Canon 400mm L series lens. I am taking it back soon to get the 7D.
