I've been doing more and more photo editing and graphics work lately and want to pull the trigger on a tablet but all the starter tablets seem so small. I mean 5.8" x 3.6" just doesn't seem like enough space to work with, or am I just overestimating the amount of space I'll need while working with it? I'm interested in a WACOM Bamboo:
The tablet has settings so you can set it to match screen size etc. the 6x8 is pretty decent, we use them in our shop. There is quite a big learning curve to use them, so plan on getting frustrated for a bit, but once you get it down it is truly a great tool.

Thanks for the quick response. I figured that it would take awhile to get accommodated to it but I'm also a quick learner so hopefully I'll catch on with ease. I might even take a class or two at the local CC to learn a bit quicker.

they have wacom classes at the CC? Wish I would have known lol. The best purchase I made involving graphic design was the 21" wacom monitor, Makes it awesome for tracing as well!

It seems like we have more tech classes in the NW and at local CC's than other places. A buddy of mine who does graphic design suggested that I check out the classes there and said it helped him out alot and mentioned one with hands on training with tablets. I don't know if they use WACOM but I'm assuming training on one tablet will be universally helpful.

We use the 21'' wacom also- it's great. Little expensive but it's an excellent tool.
