Congrats! It's pretty ironic that right when I opened this thread, the MAC commercial came on with the Windows guy bragging about 7 to the Mac guy...lol

I've been running 7 since RC1, even it was better than vista.

I swear everything I have loaded 7 onto has a new breath of life!

Msft hit a home run with this one, now if people just take the plunge. Alot of bitterness over vista still exists.

Ive been running Vista Business 64 bit for quite a while and I cant think of a single issue that Ive had. To each their own though. Windows 7 is getting rave reviews..I have yet to have a customer complain about it.

Windows 7 is pretty awesome. I just hate the "administrator" thing.

I'm not sure if it's only on Ultimate or not, but there's a Windows XP virtual machine which you can download to run any apps which do not work on W7. Works very well on my machine.

You need to have hardware virtualization built into the computer, though, which is a problem for many people wanting to use this utility.

This is without using the XP mode, but Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3 don't install or work properly

My new PC came with a free copy of 7 and Vista 64bit. Took that off the day I got it and am running XP pro now in my studio but want to try 7. Am a bit tired of XP but would hate to run into compatibility issues again. ugh...

I will be installing windows 7 64 bit later this weekend. I heard a lot about 7 but purposely didnt try the beta etc, just wanted to wait till the final version then upgrade.

Maybe I am amongst a few but I had very little problems with vista, functioned well, got the job done, vista was a success in my book. Dont know if its because I ran it with more than sufficient hardware, but either way I will step into windows 7 and see what all this fuss is about

What is it about W7 that you guys loved? I've had it for a few months as well, and it's really no significant change to me. But than I don't do other then browse, download, and use the media center media browser for movies, and chat.

I've got W7 sitting on my desktop waiting for install but am at SD until 0800 tommorow and only have my iphone tethered for internet. That being said I don't wanna lose my PC while I am here. If I run the upgrade will I lose programs and drivers and such that I need quick internet to retrieve?

^ugrading from vista is flawless upgrade, keeps all your data and software. If upgrading from XP, you need to back everything up on a flash or external drive. When I upgraded from vista, first bootup on w7 and I was already connected to my network, quick and easy. Good job windows

start->run->msconfig, tools, change UAC settings. turn slider all the way down / disable UAC, reboot.

I installed 7 today and it feels identical to vista outside of a couple of new perks. hardly a new OS. : |
