Angry WTF is up with my TV

Ok it was working FINE yesterday. Just now I turn it on and its picture is all distorted. Kind of like the color is off and its sorta rainbowish. Not only that but the edges and all are crazy.

This is the TV. I forget what model but its a SONY

Is it a projection TV? Maybe time for a bulb change?

Your color guns are out of alignment. Most projections that I've used have a button somewhere to bring them back into alignment. I've got a 10-year-old Sony XBR and there is a button under a flip panel on the front called "Flash Focus". If you have a button like that, just hit it and hopefully it will fix your problem. If not, just haul off and kick it a good one!

On mine, you just push it and release. Then a bunch of test patterns come up on screen and you'll see the guns aligning (if that's your issue).

Messing with your head

Just try to find one that meets your needs, read reviews, ask opinions, and try to find the best price.

I love how everyone falls for this whole "LED" TV thing. They are just backlit with LED bulbs and are still considered an LCD TV.

With that said, OP, you need a new TV. As for which TV to go with.......

Do your research, There is a lot of info on the AVS forums and you can get a good idea of what's best for you. Good luck.

Got my LED LCD cheaper than most LCDs and plasmas so I went with it. Looks fine to me.

I'm sorry I can't afford a Kuro Elite like some people
