One of my favorite foods. Put it in the crock pot this morning. 8 hours later its done.
Recipe is easy. Get about a 4lb Pork Shoulder, onion, some bbq sauce, and a can of coke. Slice onion and put it in pot. Put Shoulder in pot and then add a can of coke and some bbq sauce. Let it sit on low for 8 or so hours and remove from pot. Pull apart with a fork. It comes apart very easily. Drain rest of liquid out of pot and put it back in. Add some bbq sauce and stir. Enjoy.
subscribing so i remember to try it. thanks, dave!

That looks good. 8 hours is a long time though. Has to be one of those meals where you plan ahead.
off topic question, are crock pots safe to leave on for a long time like that? I would be a bit scared leaving it cooking while i'm gone at work all day. Sounds like a good meal though. i really want to try it.

Yeah crock pots are meant to be kept on all day while you are away. Either do it overnight or do it in the morning before you leave for work. The prep time is almost nothing on this.
I'm wondering if a beer would work or if a coke is better. Anyone know?

I would think for pork a coke would be better than beer. I find beer to be better with chicken.
Good point. Coke it is.
