Hmm.. I went to a drag strip here in Texas couple of days ago. I, too, raced a 06 Mustang GT with intake. We went head to head 5 times. I had ran 6 times before I raced the GT, which started out by racing me first. The GT beat me twice (I lost one by .07 seconds and I lost again because I forgot to turn off VDC) and I beat it 3 times.
One thing I noticed was that the Mustangs suffer seems to suffer from heat soak much faster than our cars. I ran my car 15 times (7th - 11th with this GT) consecutively while the GT only ran 5 times. My times were consistent, while GT's times slowed gradually each time.
that wood clad wagon looks familiar. if its the same guy he has put me out of two Fun Ford Weekend brackets and beat one of my buddies in the finals at the FFW Gainesville race. When I first got all of the bolt ons on my old vert he whipped my *** in et as well
